Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice…….2!?

The upcoming movie Beetlejuice 2 has been approved by Warner Bros to
proceed in production. Fans are hopeful for the return of Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder
after the fantasy horror movie, Beetlejuice. Fans also hope for them to portray their original
characters as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz.
A new cast member, Johnny Depp, has also been added to the group. If Depp
is to be kept throughout the filming of Beetlejuice 2, then this would be his ninth movie made
with Tim Burton. Depp’s character could be anything since he has a whole list of comedic
characters he has already played as.
“Johnny Depp will be an amazing addition to the cast,” junior Corbin Jernigan
stated. “Him and Tim Burton have worked together many times in the past, and he has always
done well in those roles. Tim Burton’s writing and Johnny Depp’s acting go hand in hand.”
For over thirty years, fans have debated and hoped that there would be a
sequel. 2025 is expected to be the release of the upcoming movie. Tim Burton is to be the
director of Beetlejuice 2 as he was with the original in 1988.
Due to the three decade gap of Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice 2, it has been
questioned if the second will hold its potential as compared to the original. However, it’s
expected that Tim Burton will try to bring the best out of the new production.
“I’m fifty-fifty on this, I want it to be a great movie, but I feel like it won’t be the
same,” senior Ethan Thomas said. “If I have to decide, I would say that Beetlejuice 2 will be a
good movie.”
