Prom Season has Arrived

Prom is just around the corner and students are becoming more and more excited as the day approaches. Prom season brings a lot of attention for the students. The excitement of the event itself, being able to spend time with your friends and others in a more formal setting, and picking out your prom dress or finding a tuxedo further raises the anticipation.

“It’s a time when I get to dress up and have fun with friends,” said senior Anna Lewis.

At prom, with everyone dressed in their new dresses and tuxedos, morale is high. Students feel good in their new attire and want to have a good time wearing it. There is no time for low spirits at prom, as it is time for fun. It is a time to be carefree and just enjoy yourself.

“Prom just makes everyone feel better about themselves and nobody has a care in the world,” said Luci Overmyer.

Whether it’s dancing on the dance floor or just spending time with your friends, prom can be enjoyable for everyone. Students especially look forward to the after-prom. Students who don’t attend prom can still attend after-prom. With games and other activities to do, students can have a great time in far less formal event to prom.

“I would recommend prom to anyone, plus after-prom is great. There’s always something to do!” said senior Ian Brown.

To attend prom, you must purchase a ticket for $50 by April 26th. This is necessary if you want to attend prom. To attend after-prom, you will need to pick up a packet from the front of the office and this will need to be signed by both you and your parents. After-prom is free and open to all students whether you attend prom or not.
