First Cavalier Team to End 21-22 Fall Seaon

Lady Cavalier golf started as a team that seemed to have had years of experience, though the team has only been a school team for three years.

The season started off with a win at their first match against teams Oregon Davis, South Central, LaCrosse, and Marquette. This win was not short lived. The team continued the strong scores throughout the season.

“My season went well, I improved a lot from beginning to end,” said junior Addison Crippen, the newest member of the team. “I was very proud of how I did, I even managed to get a bogie and par!”

Starting a new sport as a junior was intimidating; however, Crippen pulled through with a personal best of 57 against Knox and Oregon Davis.

The team benefited from having Addison Crippen as an extra player when junior Kaitlyn Stacy quit the team at the end of the season. Stacy was a third year player making her the most seasoned on the team.

“The only reason I quit,” said Stacy. “Was because of the conflict I had with sectionals being held the same day as homecoming and Fall Bonanza.”

Along with Kaitlyn Stacy, the rest of the team all felt disappointed due to the interference between Sectionals and Fall Bonanza.

“I was very disappointed about hearing the news that Fall Bonanza and Sectionals were on the same day,” said sophomore EmmaLee Hillman. “I always look forward to playing games on the football field and our annual homecoming parade.”

Despite the conflict, the team felt ready to give it their all to make their school proud.

“I think I improved and that the rest of the team also improved at sectionals and overall,” stated junior Alisa Hinds.
