Cooking with Kaity and Chloee

The Caval Crier newspaper is starting a new series called Cooking with Kaity and
Chloee. For the start of the series, seniors Kaity Stacy and Chloee Danti made peanut butter
cookies with crumbles from Butterfinger candy. Though both students love cooking, they can
admit that their talents are separated. Chloee can bake, and Kaity can cook.
They decided to make a cookie for this Caval Crier issue that is simple enough for first
time bakers to get right.
Kaity and Chloee took the cookies around the school and gave them to four people,
representing each grade. They also alternated between a boy and girl, experimenting with some
picky eaters and some not.
The first taste tester was senior Joey Pizur.
“They are fine,” said Joey.
He rated the cookies a 7.5 out of 10. Kaity and Chloee became discouraged because
Joey is supposedly not a picky eater.
Next was junior Myah Maroules who rated the cookies a 9 out of 10. As one of the picky
eaters chosen, the bakers were very surprised to see such a positive reaction.
Graham Baker, a sophomore, was next on their list. He gave them a disclaimer that he
was sick, so his rating may or may not be accurate. He was excited to keep his cookie and rated
it an 8.
The final taste tester was Jersey Himes. She liked the cookie and gave it an 8.
This brings Kaity and Chloee’s cookie to an average rating of 8.1! For their first recipe
they would call this a win.
